About Ken Joyner

Since my early childhood years, I have been engrossed with everything associated with audio. I learned to play the guitar at the age of 8 by watching videos of other guitarists play, learning by ear, & being taught by a local guitar teacher. During my high school years, I became more interested in the electronic side of audio. Specifically, how amplifiers & effects pedals work. This eventually led me down a path towards earning an electrical engineering degree at the College of Western Idaho. After graduating, I discovered my favorite aspect of audio & music. Audio engineering.

Starting in January of 2021, I began my audio engineering journey. I started learning from sources such as URM Academy & Nail the Mix, where I gathered a tremendous amount of audio engineering knowledge. I started reading books & watching YouTube videos on audio collecting every bit of information that I could find to grow my expertise on the subject.

Once I was confident in my skills as an audio engineer, I wanted to start helping other artists on their musical journey. Thus, Unsung Studios began.
